Knowledge and Power by Cazra Knowledge and Power by Cazra
For Equestria Daily's Newbie Artist Training Grounds day 29: "Draw a Pony Celebrating / Draw a Pony Graduating"

Twilight has a PhD in Magical Knowledgeness. Trixie has Great and Phenomenal Cosmic Power. Are they bitter rivals about to engage in epic magical conflict? Or are they teaming up to learn the secrets to defeat a far more dire foe?

Either way, they're chock full of magic and at least 20 arcane caster levels, and they've just gone "Avatar State! Yip Yip!"

So I guess the relation to today's theme is mainly all the tomes full of knowledge with Twilight's graduate regalia.

Knowledge is Power, Power is Pain. If you don't understand, I won't try to explain.

Man, you go so dark with you colours. I think you should try to use more of the low value gamma instead of going full dark so fast.
On this particular one, though, the shiny colours look amazing. The eyes look a bit weird without any bloom, still.

I don't know what you mean by "bloom" for their eyes, but I purposely used bery dark colors in the outer areas to emulate the contrast styles of Romantic era paintings.
